K.O. Bossy was formed in 1998 and began playing locally as a six piece band playing mostly current radio cover tunes with some Classic Rock songs mixed in. In 2002 the format was changed to all Classic Rock, covering three of the most explosive decades in Rock and Roll, the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. In April of 2009, guitarist Dave Cunico joined the band, and in January of 2010 vocalist John Broughton teamed up with Dave and the four founding members of KO Bossy; Tom Wilson, Guitar/keyboards/vocals, Jim Mysiewicz, vocals/saxophone and EWI, Len Mysiewicz, drums/vocals, and Dale Giantomasso, bass/vocals. KOB figures the current lineup will stay this way for a long time to come, not only because of the talent, but also because they have become great friends and get along very well together.
For the past twelve years, K.O. Bossy has played many venues from the south side of Chicago to the far south suburbs including the Empress Casino in Joliet, Morgan’s Thunder Bowl in Mokena, J.W. Hollsteins in Tinley Park, 191 South ( formerly Murphy’s Steakhouse and Pub) in Mokena, Old Plank Trail Tavern in Frankfort, Double Deuce in Manhattan, JJ Kelley’s in Lansing, Charlie Horse in New Lenox, RT 50 North in Manteno, Papa T’s in Midlothian (and Burbank), Sidelines Sports Bar (now Margarita’s) and Pick Ups, both in Lynwood,  The Edge, in Midlothian, The Pump Room in Worth, Heroes and Legends in Joliet, and many others.
We hope to expand our fan base into northwest Indiana where there are many fine clubs that cater to Classic Rock music. Some of the Indiana venues we have appeared at are Buddy and Pals (Schererville and Winfield locations), Northwoods in Schererville, and Back Court Bar and Grill in Crown Point to name a few.
KOB also loves playing at outdoor, and indoor, festivals. In the past, we have appeared at the Lansing Steak Fry, the Cheeseburger in Paradise (Winter Edition) at the Lansing K of C, USA Fest at Balmoral Racetrack in Crete, IL, Octoberfest in Manteno, IL where we opened for American English, and Monee Fall Faire. In 2010, KOB will be appearing at several festivals including the 4th of July in Beecher, Oak Fest in Oak Forest in July, Manteno’s Octoberfest in September, and others. We have also done private parties and weddings and will do some more of those in 2010, also.
The KOB website allows visitors to see where we are playing in the coming months, view a current song list, listen to .mp3’s of us playing live, and maybe see their own picture as we often post shots from previous shows. There is even a link to some You Tube videos of us playing live (just click the You Tube link here). It also gives them an option to send us e-mail or subscribe to our mailing list for upcoming events.  We value all fan response and inquiries, and take the time to respond to each and every e-mail. We also have a Face book site called Friends of KO Bossy which not only allows us to keep our friends informed of where we will be appearing, but also gives them a great avenue to ask questions, comment on shows they have attended, and much more. Both the KO Bossy web site, and the Friends of KO Bossy Facebook pages are cross linked to allow easy navigating between the two sites. Look for some exciting changes in the works the KO Bossy website, as we are working to further enhance the interaction with all of our KOB fans. We hope to be able to post more pictures of our fans, and also start posting some videos of our live performances.
The name K.O. Bossy comes from an old Three Stooges movie where Curly was in a cow-milking contest in a boxing ring like setting.  Curly wore a satin robe (like a boxer) with the words “K.O. Bossy” on the back.  Larry and Moe wore sweatshirts with the same wording and, hence, a classic comedy team led to the Classic Rock team that bears the name today.  The current members each have a minimum of 35 years of musical background, some of us (who started very early in life) have 40 or more.  We do this because we love to. It is what we are addicted to. It’s what we will continue to do for years to come.

Jim has that deep, rich voice we all would love to have. He plays sax and an EWI, which is a synthesizer that is played like a clarinet and can get hundreds of different sounds such as a horn section, flute, violin and many more, which allows the band to cover many different types of music.
